Tommy Odetto Band
Tommy Odetto picked up the guitar at 13 and was immediately obsessed. His inspiration came from the likes of Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, and many others. A fifth-generation native of Fairfax, CA – an area known for a diverse and rich music scene – teenage Odetto was known for sneaking into clubs to watch his favorite musicians like Danny Uzilevsky,Tom Finch and others play.
At age 15 came a life altering experience when he got the chance to play with Carlos Santana. Since then, Odetto has played with Mike Landau, Gary Novak, Travis Carlton, Michael Carabello, Mark Karan, Robin Sylvester, Otis Scarecroe, Barry Sless, Michael Bluestein, Danny Uzilevsky, Jon Korty and many more.
Toured North America with blues singer EC Scott, where he performed for one of his musical heroes, Buddy Guy at Buddy Guy’s Legends club in Chicago. In 2011, Odetto was a semi-finalist in the King of the Blues contest, making it to the top 25 out of 4,000 competitors in the country.
Although very busy with his band Soul Pie, Odetto is often known to sit in with other musicians and is welcomed onstage. His band is gaining a wide following in the Bay Area with its distinct funk/rock/blues sound.
