Dress as your favorite historical film star, flapper or mobster. Prizes awarded for the winners of the Speakeasy costume party.

Frederick Hodges will be playing piano to accompany the three 35mm films on Saturday night.

Modelling (1921) animation featuring Koko the Clown, Max & Dave Fleischer (7 min, 35mm)
His Wooden Wedding (1925), starring Charley Chase, dir. Leo McCarey (20 min, 35mm)
Steamboat Bill, Jr. (1928) starring Buster Keaton, dir. Charles Reisner (70min, 35mm.)
10PM – Films: Sexy Silents & Flaming Flappers (Adult only, private access from the speakeasy bar)
Sunday afternoon, May 6th
12PM – Brunch included – Bagels & Champagne
1pm – Film: Carl Theodor Dreyer’s Master of the House with live musical score by Nitrate Blaze Chamber Ensemble
In order to join the Speakeasy after party in the Empress Lounge you must buy a ticket to the Friday or Saturday evening silent film festival, then go to one of our participating partners to get your Speakeasy Key. You must have a key and a ticket to get into the after party. A 3 Day Festival pass is good for both nights and your key gets you in Friday and Saturday night. Otherwise your ticket and key are good for the night you purchased your silent film festival ticket. There is no party on Sunday (Brunch and Matinee only).
