Wilder Than Wild

A one-hour documentary that reveals how fire suppression and climate change have exposed our forests and wildland-urban landscapes to large, high-severity wildfires, and explores strategies to mitigate the impact of these fires.

Producers Stephen Most and Kevin White will be joining us for the post-screening discussion of Wilder than Wild along with Elizabeth Azzuz.

Elizabeth Azzuz is secretary of the Cultural Fire Management Council ( culturalfire.org) and an enrolled member of the Yurok Tribe. She first learned about burning at the age of 4, and her father learned about burning from his father a Yurok and Karuk  tribal member. Elizabeth does logistics and communications during  (TREX) Training Exchanges with support from the Nature Conservancy’s fire learning network.
