John Wells Public Safety Scholarship Fundraiser
Saturday, August 24 @ 8:00 PM| $25
7PM Doors Open | 8PM Main Concert featuring the World Fusion sounds of “Five Ten Music”
On August 24, 2019, we will be hosting the John Wells Public Safety Scholarship fundraiser at the Empress Theatre in Vallejo. The evening is designed to be a celebration of the community, as well as, a way of honoring one of Vallejo’s distinguished leaders, Assistant Fire Chief John Wells (deceased). Chief Wells was a beloved member of the community, as well as, a mentor and role model to firefighters in Vallejo and throughout northern California. The evening will feature music provided by Bay Area world-fusion jazz musicians “Five Ten” and Bryan Girard, as well as, food, wine tasting, and a silent auction. All proceeds from the event will be used to fund additional educational opportunities for the cadets of the academy who are interested in first responder careers as firefighters, emergency medical technicians (EMT), paramedics and/or nurses.
The John Wells Public Safety Scholarship fundraiser will embody the spirit of service to community that Chief John Wells and Fire Engineer Robbin Mackbee demonstrated throughout their honorable careers. It is our intent to provide opportunities to support our cadets with the financial and academic resources needed to become first responders. This effort is a fitting tribute to the legacy of both these community heroes. Your support of this effort and attendance of this event will help us achieve that goal.
