Event Info

From blistering renditions of blues-infused rock and funk to sublime vintage blues, R&B, slide, rock ‘n roll, and everything in between, Ryder Green brings a dynamic mix of firepower and grit, effortlessly intertwined with melodic engaging songs, and straight-from-the-soul improvisation. His distinctive tone, infectious original songs and vocals, and attention-grabbing covers ignite crowds of all ages.

Originally known as a guitar virtuoso—someone who threw his heart into amazingly soulful instrumentals, he’s now bringing his rapidly growing fan base a powerful fusion of riveting song styles — melodies, rhythms and lyrics you just can’t get out of your head, and don’t want to. Combined with an ever-growing depth and mastery on all levels, he can wow the audience in a uniquely uplifting way.

Green writes and sings about themes that often strike a universal chord in the message while spiking the music with riffs, phrasing, and changeups you won’t hear anywhere else.

While grounded in blues from across the widening spectrum of the genre, the strong influences of rock and funk are evident as well. Definitely an outside-the-box artist, he’s always looking to create music that gives the listener a boost up to a higher emotional tone, no matter where they’re at when the music starts.

Major influences came from the likes of Freddie King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Gales, Walter Trout, Chris Cain, Jeff Beck, John Lee Hooker, Chuck Berry, Muddy Waters, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Matt Schofield, Jimi Hendrix. More influences develop regularly—like Gary Clark Jr., Chris Duarte, Henrik Freischlader.…

Ryder had the honor of playing onstage with blues/rock giant Walter Trout (May 27, 2018).
As a huge Freddie King fan, he was also thrilled to open a show for the King Brothers, cousins to Freddie.
Shemekia Copeland was another amazing blues artist he opened for.

In November of 2016, Ryder Green & his band won The Golden Gate Blues Society’s blues challenge. They then went on to represent them in Memphis in February 2017 at the International Blues Challenge (IBC).

In January of 2017, just before heading to Memphis with his band, Green released “Won’t Take It From You,” a 5-song EP of all original songs. He wrote, arranged, and sang all 5 songs, in addition to playing lead and rhythm guitar.
With many more original songs now written and being recorded, this innovative talent is kicking into high gear.

Whether playing the intimate setting of a club, or the big stage and crowd of a festival, Green always delivers one seriously tight rockin’ music experience. He’s the real deal!
