London Symphony – Vallejo Symphony
“The Vallejo Symphony brings its exploration of Haydn’s extraordinary London Symphonies to a thrilling close with Symphony No. 104—music of brilliance, wit, and boundless energy, written at the height of his powers.
Step into an unforgettable afternoon of elegance, emotion, and orchestral brilliance as the
Vallejo Symphony returns to the historic Empress Theatre for a stunning live performance.
This program places Haydn alongside two strikingly different responses to the Classical tradition. Prokofiev’s Classical Symphony is a sparkling and mischievous reimagining of Haydn’s world, while Saint-Saëns’ Cello Concerto No. 1 brings passion, virtuosity, and dramatic flair to the fore.
We are especially delighted to feature our own principal cellist, Isaac Pastor-Chermak, as soloist in this electrifying work.
As part of this special afternoon, the Vallejo Symphony will also launch its upcoming season, Ode to Joy – Vallejo Celebrates, offering a first glimpse into an exciting new chapter for the orchestra. Join us for an afternoon of energy, elegance, and unforgettable music—live at the Empress Theatre.
