Geoff Drake’s Birthday Bash
A True Players Night at the Empress Marquee Club
The Empress Marquee Club turns into a live session for one night only as we celebrate Geoff Drake’s Birthday Bash — bringing together a lineup of seasoned Bay Area players who know how to lock in and deliver.
This isn’t a polished, scripted show. It’s a real musicians’ night — deep grooves, extended solos, and the kind of chemistry that only happens when players of this caliber hit the stage together.
Eamonn Flynn anchors the sound on keys, blending gospel, soul, blues, and funk into one powerful voice on the instrument. His playing moves from subtle textures to full-on Hammond B3 fire.
Dave Shul brings tone, feel, and versatility on guitar — moving through blues, rock, and funk with authority.
Timm Walker holds it down on bass with deep pocket and precision — the kind of groove that keeps the whole band tight and the room locked in.
Willy Jordan drives the energy on both vocals and drums, bringing a raw, rhythm-forward presence that puts the groove first.
Together, this group creates something bigger than a typical show — a session. Songs stretch, solos build, and the night takes on a life of its own.
