Rowland & Tumblin'
Featuring Kyle Rowland
Get ready for a Wednesday night of real-deal blues at the Empress Marquee Club with Rowland & Tumblin', featuring award-winning harmonica player, singer, and bandleader Kyle Rowland.
Kyle is one of Northern California's most exciting blues artists, bringing raw energy, big harmonica tone, soulful vocals, and the kind of stage presence that wakes up a room fast. His sound is rooted in blues, R&B, soul, and gospel, but it never feels like a museum piece. This is living, breathing blues built for a live room.
Rowland has already earned serious recognition: youngest inductee into the Sacramento Blues Hall of Fame, International Blues Challenge semifinalist, Little Village Foundation artist, and a Blues Music Award nominee for Best Emerging Album.
His playing carries the spirit of the greats: James Cotton, Lazy Lester, Hubert Sumlin, Billy Boy Arnold, Matt "Guitar" Murphy, Henry Gray, and Charlie Musselwhite. But Kyle and the band bring their own edge, with jump blues, Chicago fire, West Coast swing, greasy grooves, and plenty of harmonica heat.
The Marquee Club is the right room for this show. It is close, intimate, and built for music you can feel. Come early for dinner, grab a drink, settle in, and get ready for a night that moves.
A midweek blues night with bite, swing, and serious energy.
