Join us at the Empress Theatre for a powerful afternoon of music, memory, love, and community as we celebrate the life of beloved Bay Area keyboardist Mike Emerson.
Mike was a musician’s musician — soulful, joyful, fearless, funny, and deeply loved by the people who shared stages, recording sessions, road stories, and unforgettable nights of music with him. Many fans knew him as a member of the Tommy Castro Band, where his keyboard work brought fire, groove, feel, and heart to every performance.
This special tribute brings together an incredible lineup of musicians to honor Mike the only way that truly makes sense: by playing. Expect an afternoon filled with blues, soul, roots, memories, laughter, and the sound of a music family coming together.
