A real blues heavyweight, up close in the Marquee Club
The Empress Marquee Club welcomes Mark Hummel, a Grammy-nominated harmonica master, vocalist, bandleader, author, and Blues Music Award winner for an intimate night of real-deal blues.
Mark Hummel
For decades, Mark has helped carry the torch for traditional blues. His legendary Blues Harmonica Blowout series has featured giants like Charlie Musselwhite, James Cotton, John Mayall, and many more.
For this special club show, Mark brings an all-star band featuring Steve Freund, Paul Revelli, and Karl Sevareid — musicians with deep roots in Chicago blues, West Coast blues, soul, and roots music.
Real Blues. No Gimmicks.
Sharp guitar, deep groove, world-class harmonica, and blues played by musicians who have lived it. This is the kind of night the Marquee Club was built for — close, soulful, and full of feel.
