Baxter Robertson & The California Psychics

Original Music • Deep Groove • West Coast Soul

Join us for a night of original music with real chemistry and real
musicianship as Baxter Robertson & The California Psychics take the
stage on Thursday, January 22.
Doors open at 5:30 PM and the show starts at 6:30 PM.

At the center is Baxter Robertson—an artist whose songs balance grit and vulnerability,
blending roots rock, Americana, and subtle
psych-leaning textures into a sound that feels cinematic and alive.
This isn’t background music—it’s the kind of set that pulls you in, builds momentum,
and rewards attention.

Backing him is The California Psychics, a lineup of powerhouse players with
deep roots in blues, soul, and American music—each bringing decades of stage and studio
experience into one tight, expressive band.

Featuring an All-Star Band

Chris “Kid” Andersen (Guitar)
Born in Telemark, Norway, Andersen was backing American blues legends by age 18,
including Homesick James, Nappy Brown, and Willie “Big Eyes” Smith. After moving to
California at 21, he became the longtime guitarist for Rick Estrin & The Nightcats,
earning multiple Blues Music Award nominations for Guitarist of the Year. He’s also a
highly respected producer and the force behind Greaseland Studios, one
of the West Coast’s premier blues recording hubs.

Steve Ehrmann (Bass)
A deep-pocket anchor with an extraordinary résumé, Ehrmann has performed with
John Lee Hooker, Charlie Musselwhite, Roy Rogers, Elvin Bishop, Coco Montoya,
Angela Strehli, and more—bringing warmth, precision, and undeniable feel to the low end.

Paul Revelli (Drums)
Native San Franciscan Paul Revelli is a first-call sideman known for versatility and
intuition—equally at home in the studio or on stage. His credits include Angela Strehli,
Marcia Ball, Charlie Musselwhite, Maria Muldaur, Elvin Bishop, Bo Diddley, Pinetop Perkins,
and Mark Hummel, among many others.

Jon Otis (Percussion)
Born in Tulsa and raised in the Bay Area, Otis has worked as a musician since age 15 across
rock, jazz, blues, R&B, funk, Latin, African, Brazilian, and world music. He’s also composed
for film, dance, theater, and commercial work—bringing color, texture, and rhythmic depth to
every performance.

If you love music that’s performed—not just played—this is your night.
Expect strong songwriting, tasteful improvisation, rich rhythm, and the kind of live energy
that only happens when a band truly listens to each other onstage.
